STORM CIARA was in full force this past weekend with gale force winds, driving rain, and even hail. Needless to say, we spent most of the time indoors, keeping cosy by the fire, watching films and trying out new recipes (P made roasted cauliflower with creamy pesto risotto). We finally had a chance to watch Parasite (2019), the night before it was to win four Academy Awards, one of them being Best Picture.

Last week, we debuted a new TIG Grammar Guide and the response was overwhelming. Who knew that so many of you appreciate good spelling and the correct use of apostrophes? We did of course, for our readership includes so many intelligent thinkers and dreamers, and for that, we’re extremely thankful. In fact, thank you for all the lovely notes, emails and comments we’ve been receiving lately telling us about how much you love the site―it means so much!

This week’s links include a serene apartment in Hong Kong and the best short breaks by train from the UK; a recipe for burrata with marinated courgettes and aubergine, and much, much more.
