01-Travel Inspiration Places | Turin-This Is Glamorous

BEFORE WE DECIDED to move to Spain, one of the places we considered Turin, Italy (Italian: Torino), a city in northern Italy, capital of the Piedmont region and the first capital city of Italy. Spain’s beautiful sub-tropical climate won out in the end, but Turin is still a beautiful city and an important business and cultural centre. Located mainly on the western bank of the Po River, in front of the Susa Valley, Turin is surrounded by the western Alpine arch and by the Superga Hill. The city has a population of 892,649 (August 2015), with an urban area population of 1.7 million (Eurostat).

Rich in culture and history, Turin is known for its many art galleries, restaurants, palaces, opera houses, gardens and parks, museums, theaters and libraries. The city is also known for its Renaissance, Baroque, Rococo, Neo-classical, and Art Nouveau architecture.

Click through for a glimpse of this cosmopolitan city as viewed through the lens of Rudolfo Bottacchi (@rodvaveloce), a Turin native.
