Notes from the Weekend & a Few Lovely Links

Notes from the Weekend & a Few Lovely Links 31.07.17

IT IS A MILLION DEGREES lately, and we’ve been eating watermelon for breakfast and gazpacho for lunch in an attempt to cool down, in addition to the many sunlit dates on terraces, the only civilized way to endure the heat. The city is emptying out as it does every August, and the evenings have already begun to get quiet. We won’t be able to get away to the seaside this time, as there is simply too much to do at the office, but do have a trip planned to our old hometown of Edinburgh to visit family in the next few weeks. These languid late-summer days seem to pass by both at a leisurely pace and altogether too quickly, for how is it possible that it is nearly August already? There are beach sunsets with raised glasses of cava in our future and we’ll have deserved every last moment after these insanely hectic past few months …

This week’s links include a clever DIY and The Ritz Paris’ secret cooking school; a restaurant in the Swedish wilderness, a recipe for Chickpea Pasta and much, much more …
