Style Inspiration: Holiday Glamour

THE LONG-AWAITED MONTH OF DECEMBER HAS ARRIVED. It’s time to find your velvet stilettos with the silk ankle ribbon in your shoe closet, and take your embellished Roger Vivier pumps out of their dust bag. Time to finally buy the Valentino ruffled silk-chiffon gown or the Giambattista Valli embellished pleated dress you’ve window-shopped for so many times, because it’s worth it to look fabulous for the Christmas cocktail party. Time to bring out the lamé, the velvet, the guipure lace, and the tulle, because every day should be a celebration of opulence and elegance. Time to slightly overdo when it comes to accessories and jewellery; overdressing is a thing of the past in December, and diamonds are a girl’s best friend. — Victoria.

Victoria lives in the south of Spain, having moved there from her native country Ukraine when she was just a child. She finds herself looking up to timeless icons from past decades including Jackie O, Grace Kelly, Katherine Deneuve and Audrey Hepburn, and longing for sunny afternoons on the French Riviera and walks along the Seine during spring. Always overdressed and dishing out on tailored pieces and shoes – secretly dreaming they were from Dior or Saint Laurent – she dresses for herself rather than others, and would trade breakfast for Vogue or a one way ticket to anywhere beautiful.
