Valentine’s weekend was cosy fires and late-night conversations, wine in fluted glasses; music and films, and chocolate. P made an extra special dinner on Sunday and while other years may have been spent at dinner reservations at fancy restaurants, and despite the lockdown conditions, it didn’t feel like anything was missing.
Recently read an article about someone who once had a near-photographic memory that began to falter after using Instagram, and realised that the same thing is happening to me. And so, beginning yesterday, I am taking a week off of the app, and have completely deleted it from my phone. It is the first time that I’ve ever attempted to take a break from it as it is part of work, so it will be interesting to see what happens to my brain and if my own near-photographic memory returns. At last count, we were running seven separate accounts, six of them related to TIG, and it was, to say the least, extremely time consuming. If you’re missing us on Instagram, we are still updating our FB and Twitter feeds this week. Hope you had a lovely weekend and are not feeling “pandemic fatigue” too badly, something else I read about recently but will save that conversation for another day.
