Notes from the Weekend & a Few Lovely Links

Notes from the Weekend & a Few Lovely Links 23.11.20

THIS WEEKEND we put up the Christmas lights and watched The Holiday with wine and popcorn. Yes, it might be a little soon, but this year needed cheering up, so we’re beginning early. We’re also wrapped up in the holiday mayhem that comes with tracking down missing packages and making sure everyone receives everything on time and are in the midst of beginning a brand new (somewhat frightening) project that is becoming more complicated and convoluted by the minute. (You’ll be excited about it, I promise―if we ever get it up and running.) The weather has turned cold and dreary and I am in cosy sweaters and giant puffer coats all the time now. We have a fire most evenings and are beginning to crave heavier foods. This morning we stopped by the village patisserie for a freshly baked loaf of sourdough, custard tarts and cheesecake. The lockdown lifts a week from tomorrow and we’re wondering if we might venture to Scotland…

This week’s links include 26 ways to decorate with Christmas foliage and smocked ruffle tops for the holidays; a healthy recipe, a gold heart locket and much, much more.
