Jewelry has always been a huge part of my life. When I was young, I went to a school (well, it was more of a cult, but that’s a story for another day), where I wasn’t allowed to wear jewelry. Every summer for five years, I would get my ears pierced just so I could have a little sparkle for a few months before school started again and I’d have to take them out. I tried everything to get around the no jewelry rule, trust me. And now, working in this business, I still find myself trying to get around rules, such as: “don’t mix metals”, “don’t wear too much jewelry―it’s distracting”, “less is more”, or my personal favorite, “it isn’t classy to have more than one earring in each ear”. I say screw the rules. Well, if I’m being totally honest, I’d say a different word (I swear like an absolute sailor, but I’m trying to keep it at least a little professional here). I truly believe that if you’re wearing my jewelry, you should wear it however you like. Break the rules and do what makes you feel like the most authentic version of you.
