HAPPENED UPON a photo of the charming village of Saint-Émilion on Marlene Lee's Instagram feed, @cookiesncandies, and it immediately brought back so many fond memories of our trip to Bordeaux a few years ago, and the day trip we took to this very village. Lee, a freelance photographer, is based in a picturesque medieval city just outside of London, but was originally from Borneo and New Zealand. She describes herself as a "self professed Francophile with a love for French clothes, shoes and bags but with the taste buds of an Italian". Here, she whisks us away to far-flung places―from the chic Villa Rosabaya in Bali, to the dramatic cliffs of Aberdeenshire, the golden sun of Palma De Mallorca and Portofino, the canals of Colmar and more...
