Notes from the Weekend & a Few Lovely Links

Notes from the Weekend & a Few Lovely Links 10.30.17

WE ONLY JUST ARRIVED home again on Friday, so the weekend was spent becoming accustomed to being back after two weeks away, throwing open all the Juliet balcony doors to the warm Spanish sunshine and revisiting all of our favourite spots in the city to be certain they were just as we left them. On Sunday we watched the rather fitting The Trip to Spain (Michael Winterbottom, 2017), following Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon on their Spanish culinary adventures, having seen the original The Trip, as well the pair’s adventures in Italy that came after, awhile ago. There is a funny line in the film in which one of the characters they meet along the way tells them that if they want to experience both food and culture, then they must visit Valencia (something to that affect), which we found quite amusing. It’s all true, of course.

This week’s links include kitten heels and velvet turtlenecks, an innovative invention, a Georgian home on the Isle of Wight and much, much more.

xo,
