Notes from the Weekend & a Few Lovely Links

Notes from the Weekend & a Few Lovely Links 05.06.17

LATE LAST WEEK we waited an hour for a much-coveted table on a sun-drenched terrace for a late lunch which ended with iced espressos with crushed ice and vanilla ice cream. There would be other delicious lunches and dinners over the weekend, drinks in a posh hotel bar, and then, on Sunday, we found ourselves glued to the news after first hearing about the terrible events in London the night before. If it were not clear before then, the notion that there are no certainties in life are exceedingly clear now. We talked about the events, we talked about life, but most of all, we realised how lucky we were to be able to enjoy late afternoon lunches on terraces, to have drinks in lovely places and to have found each other, and we resolved to never take these things for granted.

This week’s links include travel and architecture and pink rosé pineapples, an underwater winery and much, much more …
