HAVEN’T THE FAINTEST idea why am so very drawn to the bedroom, powder & dressing rooms in the home of Miriam Alia in Madrid, for it is ultra-modern and spare, a very long distance from the traditional and maximalist, or [at the very least], ornate austerity that normally favour; and yet, there is an unmistakeable romance — perhaps it is the pink carpet or artfully draped faux fur, the collection of golden starburst mirrors or gilded accents on photo frames and furniture, or the sequins strewn casually about . . .
