. . . spent the afternoon traipsing about town in search of last-minute gifts, stopping in for a festive glass of champagne and after, to pick up winter woods-scented candles, and so, as we wind down from the busy-ness of work schedules and draw closer to winter solstice, some holiday inspiration, even more still — a myriad of wicker and firewood and nights by the fire, cosy cable knit sweaters and mistletoe, and hopes of snow-covered trees, peony-laden cakes and the magical glow of fairy lights . . .
