. . . it’s always interesting when one’s tastes begin to change, however imperceptibly, and even if only for a moment . . . here, one has come to expect light and bright and a glittery glimmer; a dash of ornateness and maximalist tendencies — and yet — inexplicably drawn to the soft black leather and dark, heavy drapery of these rooms, rugged, and yet refined, beckoning and yet a little mysterious . . .

{or perhaps it is lure of bright panelled walls and perfect pools of light?}

{p.s.} recent two lovely things:
* books & blossoms
* gilded chalkboards & garden sheds
* green & white
* open shelves & elegant black
* bar carts & blossoms
* books & bouquets
* a paris apartment & hermès
* secret gardens & on the terrace

i love that masculine atmosphere….
Beautiful images! I love that mirror. :)
stunning! My poor husband wants a leather couch SO bad, but I won’t allow it! This one makes me want one too now! LOL
Oh, I love that second photo. Have you ever seen the movie “Charade” or the remake “The Truth About Charlie”? The apartment that Audrey Hebpurn’s character lives in with Charlie is my ideal space. Sigh.
The first room is beautiful, i don’t usually go for leather couches, but the mix with the antic mirror is just fabulous!
I wish I had windows and a view like that second photo – dreamy.
it’s probably the perfect pool of light. that photo is gorgeous.
