| Spend a morning or afternoon wandering through Granville Island, and visit the lively markets, shops, cafés and such; a lovely spot to get lost in, and later on, sit by the water with a coffee or gelato and enjoy the views.

| Book a day to explore the culture of Chinatown. From China Gate, the Dr. Sun Yat Sen Classical Chinese Garden [a personal favorite] and an array of shops and restaurants, to the Chinese Cultural Centre Museum and Archives and sitings of some of the oldest buildings in the city.

| Enjoy picturesque views, large trees and the stunning sea from Stanley Park. Go bike riding, walking, driving, or set out on a horse-drawn carriage around the grand park [over 1000 acres]. There are also some lovely restaurants [such as The Tea House] and stops to make throughout the park for scenic views.

| Relax and unwind at Spa Utopia & Salon -- one of Vancouver's leading spas. There are a number of treatments available to book -- from classic pedicures to their warm chocolate moor mud wrap [a favorite of many!]

| In the evening, enjoy the theatre -- there are always a range of performances to choose from, and a range of theatres as well. For options, visit : The Vancouver Theatre Guide. And most magical, Theatre Under the Stars -- best followed by a delicious late-night dessert at Cheesecake Etc [a bit of a hidden gem].

| Spend some time at U.B.C -- the University of British Columbia -- for it is filled with wonderful things to see, do and learn -- from the serene and enchanting Nitobe Memorial Garden and beautiful Botanical Gardens, to the Museum of Anthropology.

| For more cultural experiences, visit Commercial Drive [where one might hear Italian spoken fluently] and enjoy ethnic flavours and charming boutiques. Additionally, if you desire delicious Indian cuisine, and enjoy the colorful fabrics and fashions of India, set off to Main Street.

| Head to iconic English Bay, and enjoy scuba diving, kayaking and more [also, a lovely spot for a picnic lunch].

| Enjoy historic Gastown and its many beautiful buildings. One will discover cobbled streets, paralleled by galleries, interesting shops, design studios, pubs, cafés, and much more [including our iconic and beautiful steam clock].

| In the wintertime, enjoy a visit to the Vancouver Art Gallery followed by ice skating just outside the gallery. Additionally, if you would like to visit a number of lovely galleries in one spot, visit South Granville and see what is fondly referred to as "Gallery Row".
