In the Kitchen: 10 Nourishing Recipes for the Holiday Seaso

Nourishment can be as simple as an orange in the morning, or a hearty salad topped with hummus for lunch. It can be a Sunday brunch and yes, a fabulous desert. To this day, one of the best pieces of advice I have received was to always have a chocolate bar in the pantry.

The holiday season is a time to indulge in spirits and sweets, but also to restore one’s joy. What I refuse to take part in this year are cleanses, detoxes, and impossible resolutions surrounding food once the first of January arrives. To me, one of the ultimate luxuries is making a beautiful meal at home with beautiful, collected kitchenware and cheerful blooms. During the rush of the holidays when the winter days are literally shorter, a good meal makes a difference in mood.

Here are a few recipes that I plan to make a part of my holiday season. Many I have made many times and a few, such as the raspberry oatmeal, I can’t wait to try!
