IF IT IS POSSIBLE to have too much of a good thing, then chocolate and champagne and cheese trays with foie gras paté and roquefort and brie may be just that, and it is not even New Year’s! We’re now in that lull between the aftermath of the holidays and the new year, having had much too much of everything and pensively excited for the coming year. There was so much that happened in the last 365 days that it feels like it was much longer, while simultaneously feeling like it was no time at all. That last part, of course, is the same feeling that occurs at the end of every passing year, for endings are often bittersweet. Things for us have changed dramatically in a year’s time, and by this token, we are very much excited to see what the new year will bring …
