Oscar de la Renta Spring 2017, New York

Runway: Oscar de la Renta Spring 2017

OSCAR DE LA RENTA is to welcome a new creative director duo: Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia of Monse, who are to begin their work at revolutionising the fashion house early next year. After Peter Copping’s departure, the search for a worthy heir was a lengthy one, and so, the SS17 collection was designed by the in-house team. While there were few breaks from tradition, the team successfully upheld the legacy of a brand that has enamoured women for years. There were intricately made white dresses that will resonate with the summer jet-set of the Mediterranean; printed pleated numbers, perhaps for a younger audience; cocktail dresses worthy of any Park Avenue resident; and of course, the gowns, always the star of any ODLR show. The red ruffled silk faille, pink silk taffeta, and an LBD stitched with white pearls, particularly stood out. So Oscar. — Victoria.Runway: Oscar de la Renta Spring 2017 Runway: Oscar de la Renta Spring 2017 Runway: Oscar de la Renta Spring 2017 Runway: Oscar de la Renta Spring 2017 Runway: Oscar de la Renta Spring 2017 Runway: Oscar de la Renta Spring 2017 Runway: Oscar de la Renta Spring 2017 Runway: Oscar de la Renta Spring 2017 Runway: Oscar de la Renta Spring 2017 Runway: Oscar de la Renta Spring 2017 Runway: Oscar de la Renta Spring 2017 Runway: Oscar de la Renta Spring 2017 Runway: Oscar de la Renta Spring 2017 Runway: Oscar de la Renta Spring 2017 Runway: Oscar de la Renta Spring 2017 Runway: Oscar de la Renta Spring 2017 Runway: Oscar de la Renta Spring 2017 19 Runway: Oscar de la Renta Spring 2017
