There is a woman…she is all alone, but unstoppable in her quest for la vie en rose. Her hours fly by at a gentle pace, for she takes care of herself, whether by taking the morning off to lounge around in a silk pyjama à la Coco Chanel at the Ritz, or spending a few hours dancing to old records on the radio, entranced in the melancholy. Of course, nothing is more apt for the occasion than the most sumptuous of laces, silks, and rose-coloured transparencies. Spring calls for serene peek-a-boo balances: match semi-transparent Dior shorts with a knit jumper; balance out a delicate Céline slip with a fuzzy cardigan; and embrace sugar-hued intricacies during the day, too, for a silk and lace top under a blazer will go a long way.
