For sometime I have been meaning to catch up on reading Einstein His Life And Universe by Water Isaacson and I finally got around to reading the first few chapters. The book starts with this brilliant quote:

Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving. —Albert Einstein, in a letter to his son Eduard, February 5, 1930.

Hope you are having a good weekend. –P

Some new material surfaced recently from accomplished California-based funk artist, Damon Garrett Riddick, better know by his stage name Dam-Funk. “Free” is the pick of the tracks from the 4 track EP STFU. Dam-Funk’s second full-length solo album, Invite the Light, is planned for later this year.

French producer The Avener’s reworking of Sixto Rodriguez‘s “Hate Street Dialogue” from the 1970 album Cold Fact.

Not exactly new, but it’s definitely been on repeat around the office over the past couple of weeks — Deptford Goth’s 2012 track “Feel Real”.

Brand new from South London, R&B singer, Joseph J. Jones, a piano driven single “The Video”.

Madisen Ward and the Mama Bear are mother and son folk blues duo out of Kansas City. The pair combine brilliantly on the uplifting “Silent Movies”. Look out for the duo who are touring extensively throughout Europe and the US over the summer. You can check out a live recording of the duo in action here.
