The pale & perfect neutrals set off by ebony and rich wood tones are the very definition of calm, intermingled with luxurious velvets and Venetian mirrors, an extraordinary mix of modern, Regency and Louis XVI pieces, Bronze 19th-century sconces with original gilding and antique French chandeliers. . .
“Many eras are represented in a Manhattan home’s office, which contains a Directoire daybed, a George II–style mirror, an Empire chandelier, an Art Deco table with a Jansen stool, and an Arne Jacobsen Egg chair in velvet.”
In the foyer, the marquetry floor is, amazingly, faux.
