TODAY’S INTERIOR INSPIRATION comes from the home of fashion designer and Wheels & Dollbaby founder, Melanie Greensmith, and her husband, Divinyls co-founder and guitarist, Mark McEntee, in Sydney, Australia. The two-bedroom apartment is one of five found within Del Rio, a Spanish Mission-style building on the waterfront in Elizabeth Bay . . .

The apartment underwent extensive renovations by the previous owner, a caterer, so there was no need for any structural changes or modern updates.

Above, in the living room, handpainted De Gournay wallpaper lines a wall. “I tend to put that wherever I go,” says the designer. One of the few pieces bought specifically for the space is a 1910 Chinoiserie rug from Germany that works perfectly with the wallpaper and anchors the main seating area.

The bones of the apartment are pure Hollywood glamour, with arched windows looking out over the lush harbourside garden, swimming pool and jetty below. Then there’s the collection of glamorous antiques and furnishings that really caps it all off. “It very much reminds me of the Chateau Marmont in Hollywood, which Mark and I stay in a lot,” says Greensmith.
