{décor inspiration | small spaces : a tiny but chic studio in brooklyn}

Happened upon the tiny, tiny but hugely chic Brooklyn studio apartment of photographer and yoga instructor, Rebecca Jo Phillips, in the latest issue of Homes & Gardens.  Seem to be having a bit of a thing for brightly-coloured spaces lately, but this one had a particular draw for its Domino-esque feel — not surprising, as it was decorated by Nick Olsen, who was a regular contributor for the magazine.  The bright colours and patterns and beautiful tangle of art and object are a feast for the eye, but the very best parts include the floral headboard and ruffled curtains, and most definitely the slipcovered eBay sofa with contrasting green piping, echoing the insanely chic painted details on the doors . . .

2 Notes
  • This is a beautiful space. The pops of green really ties it all together. It may be small but it looks like a great place to live. Very chic.

  • Yeah, I remember this studio. It was in House Beautiful back in 2011. So well done. I love all the color.

  • Thank you for stopping in to say hello — it's lovely to hear from you!
