Unlike la dernière fois/the last time, when some four thousands photographs were accidentally lost, save for a few that lingered on instagram, from this particular stay in Paris, there are a few beautiful photographs to share. And despite the fact that the reason for our visit this time was a terribly sad one, on the day before we were to return home, had decided to spend the day lost in beautiful things, awaking to café express/strong coffee at a breezy café, followed by a stop at a favourite patisserie for flakey and freshly baked apple tartelettes and pain au chocolat/chocolate croissants for breakfast, also choosing a few pastries — [p can not get enough of Parisian éclairs au chocolat] — strawberry custard tarts and baguettes for the day’s picnic, which incidentally, was the only pressing thing on the agenda for the day. Next, it was a stop by the market for the sweetest, loveliest French strawberries, peaches, cherries, and insanely deliciously raspberries, as well as the fromagerie for brie and the bouchère for thin slices of serrano and terrine. The very rest of the afternoon was spent picnic-ing in the hot July sun, beneath la tour Eiffel and the romance of the Parisian skies . . .

[as always, a million more beautiful things below] x
