. . . the parcel arrived by post in late morning on thursday of last week, shrouded in mystery and the scent of a million orange blossoms . . .






. . . and inside, beneath pale pink packing peanuts and carefully wrapped in tissue, were three things: a bottle of mermaid № 1 perfume and perfume oil, and a candle [vegetable soy wax, for those who are serious about their candles], all prettily packaged in white, pink and gold . . .

. . . the accompanying and charmingly handwritten note was unsigned, closed with only and x and o, and on the company's about page is written only three words: mysterious, romantic, ethereal . . .





. . . you may have heard of mermaid, or you may have not, for so deliciously deep runs the mystery, but if you do have a chance encounter, its sweet scent will transport you to daydreams and summertime . . .
