. .  and while on the topic of rearranging the drawing room, the curtains may need an update as well, and a favourite look is adding a little country to the city, by means of perfectly elegant florals -- a little rustic to the refined -- and this mid-19th-century home in london’s holland park, with its extravagantly lovely crown moulding and wonderfully ornate carved mirrors and delicate wall sconces, [and of course, the romantic floral drapery], is inspiration, indeed . . .

Oh my!! I love this room. The large long mirror and that armoire I think is gorgeous! The floral drapes are my favorite!

Ahhh... gorgeous! My grandmother grew up on Holland Park Road during the war! She is almost 91 now, and still has such glamorous style. This is so lovely--thank you!
