. . . despite the perfectly wonderful warm temperatures lately, the sunny mornings and rather balmy breezes, even while the days are slowly, slowly getting longer minute by minute, every year, around this time, there is the longing for the fountains to be open once again, and for leaves and boxwood hedges, for blades of grass, and shades of green, stretching into forever . . .

OMG I didn't know that swans kept their babies in their wings like that! SOOO sweet. I love it! I also really want to hang a cluster of pictures in my new apt like it's done in the first photo!!

R, you manage to find all that is beautiful on this planet...and to post it for the rest of us. It does not go unappreciated.

The swans - so gorgeous, so snug under their mum's wing. The wind is lashing the rain against the window here in Yorkshire, time to get in front of the fire and plan some hedging and a fountain (small!) for the garden.

What a beautiful selection in one of my favorite hues! I miss fountains bubbling and fresh green grass crunching under my steps...when I look out the window all I can see is snow! Thank you for making me dream about the spring!
