{holiday gift guide | editor’s picks : laily, new york}

1. the east coast of the united states was recently devastated by hurricane sandy, and many people will still be without homes this christmas. CFDA and Vogue have teamed up with others in the fashion industry to raise funds with FASHION FOR SANDY RELIEF, an on-line auction at to raise funds for those impacted by the storm. all proceeds raised from the online auction will go to the Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City and to other relief organizations in the tri-state area. i think an amazing holiday gift would be to bid on one of the auctions, for example, attending a fashion week show with anna wintour, touring the vogue offices and having lunch in the conde nast cafeteria.

Contributor, New York City

Laily lives in New York City, although her mind often wanders across the Atlantic. A lover of modern design, letterpress stationary, and simple yet elegant couture, Laily believes that happiness can be found within bundles of ranunculus or garden roses. As a visual person, she overlooks a film’s plot for aesthetic and cinematography. She divides her attention between two men: her husband and her puppy, Bear.
