. . . and it is true that things can be a little sporadic here, from time to time, but last week was scandalously so, with unwritten articles and missing weekend links -- all for very good reasons, of course, including romantic walks in fallen leaves -- and so, this week shall be an exercise in catching up, but first, coffee, and perhaps the last of this astonishingly lovely late-october light . . .
