. . . famously known for maximalist tendencies, am sometimes surprised when irresistibly drawn to unadorned walls and clean, modern lines, although, having always grown up in homes with fireplaces, perhaps the lure of a roaring fire in this last day of january is simply too much to bear . . .
{p.s.} friday was errands & appointments and much too fun on saturday & sunday, missing a weekend farewell & links, and so, if you've only just arrived . . .

. . . never one to look too far ahead, always preferring to stay in the moment, have been noticing {for quite some time now} valentine's day things already all around, and could not help but daydream {just a little}, remembering how simply pretty the palest pink satin ribbon can be . . .

. . . shall always adore katie lee's ultra-chic four-story west village townhouse, famously decorated by nate berkus a million years ago, in 2006; first seen in domino magazine and still an all-time favourite, the 4000 sq ft home, which includes 3/4 bedrooms, 4 baths, 4 fireplaces, an elevator, a landscaped garden, matchbooked marble detailing, and antiqued gold-leafing, is now on the market, and it is always interesting to compare how the real estate listing shots, often taken wide angles, differ from the rich, more detailed shots published in magazines; and so, a glimpse . . .
