. . .despite running around in loose sexy waves these days, perfect for mid-week brunches and late-night film dates, some things — especially during the holidays — require a little extra polish, especially if there are sequins and opera gloves in the mix, and as you know, have been know to fall back on the chignon — classic or side, worn high as the ballerinas do, or just grazing the neck, smooth and intricately pinned, or tucked and clasped with jewels, the look is simply sophisticated, and always elegant . . .
