. . . there is gold and glitter everywhere lately, on ankle boots, and fingernails, and even above fluttery lashes, and ever since gold-leafing the coffee table a few summers ago, can not seem to stop enveloping everything in bits of gold, and so, was thrilled to come across this very fun and insanely easy idea . . .
......................................................................................................
{you will need:}
course glitter // mod podge // fabric glue // rhinestones

S T E P O N E
mix mod podge & glitter, adding one part course glitter to two parts mod podge in a small bowl
S T E P T W O
brush on to strap and let dry
S T E P T H R E E
apply a second layer and let dry
S T E P F O U R
you may wish to apply a third layer [optional]
S T E P F I V E
apply rhinestones to the ends of the strap, with fabric or crazy glue
S T E P S I X
and that's it! easy, easy [a glimpse of the finished project here]

Thanks! This is fabulous! So much better than a plain old strap.
I literally gasped aloud when I saw this post, Roséline! What a wonderful project this is—I am so glad that you shared it :)
xx, Sarah
Oh WOW, and only for this I would be myself a new camera!
Oh my goodness! This is perfect. As of right now I don't own a camera with a strap like this (hope to soon once I save enough money!) but I wish I did so I could do this...it's perfect.
I adore glitter....anywhere!
xxxx
To all things glitter! Why didn't I thought of this xx
Now that's a pretty camera!
I LOVE this idea and can't wait to do it. Glitter and rhinestones are definitely what my Rebel's strap has been missing.

This is a clever idea :) I own a Canon 550D cam and I should apply this to my strap. Thank you for sharing this idea. It looks beautiful :)
this is a great Idea, which I had on my mind as well for some time now, BUT with another style & adding different material for DIY Camera Strap...perhaps might do its someday soon on my Blog! x
OMG this post is so gorgeous I love it!
What a great idea!
Love it.

I am in LOVE with this! I am borrowing this idea (with credit to you and funkytime) to share on my blog and try to recreate. I have been looking for a camera strap alternative for a bit now.
Hi, love this so much! SO sassy. Got a new camera for Christmas and already have all of the supplies to do this. Question, does the glitter fall off of the strap at all?
I can't wait to try this..but does the glitter transfer?
Ellie Sylvia & Adrianna Traxler -- because it's mixed with mod podge, the glitter shouldn't transfer, but you could try spraying the finished strap with shellac or hairspray if you're concerned -- let me know how it goes!
