{hair how-to: the sexy bouffant}

. . . and it has been a very long time since the last hair how-to, and after a little shopping for next week’s trip to new york, all that is left are shoes {perhaps these?}, and the perfect up-do, and if you have been reading for a while, you will know about a love for brigitte bardot-esque hair, and so, a few tips on how to keep things sexy & tousled . . .

{hair how-to: the sexy bouffant}
1. let’s begin

{hair how-to: the sexy bouffant}
2. take a section of hair from the crown of your head — it can be a large section, or a modestly sized, one as pictured

{hair how-to: the sexy bouffant}
3. if you have a backcombing brush, use it, if not, any fine bristle brush will work; use the brush to backcomb, backcomb, backcomb that section of hair, starting at the middle of your hair and “peeling” back

4. it should begin to look quite frizzy . . .

5. flip it back

6. pat it down a little, if you like & that it’s it! add a little black eyeliner and some lipstick and you’re set

. . . and for a slightly edwardian and more prim & proper variation:

1. backcomb everything like crazy

2. lightly brush the top layer of hair so it’s smooth, then twist hair into a little bun and secure with pins

3. pretty, right?

. . . and last but not least, the half bouffant:

{hair how-to: the sexy bouffant}
1. backcomb it
