. . . late saturday afternoon and after last weekend’s whirlwind trip to nyc, slowing things down just a little and happily spending much-needed time at home . . . there are no cases to pack or flights to catch, only long and leisurely conversations over dinners in favourite restaurants, late mornings sipping coffee and flipping through glossy magazines and warm nights under falling stars . . .

hope you’re having a perfectly wonderful weekend and that it’s beautiful where you are,
xo

  • love the 5th photo. i think the fact that she’s over a balcony and you can see all the treetops really makes the photo.

  • You just gave me a nice reminder the importance of getting away every once in a while. Thinking happy thoughts until then….

  • How beautiful your images are – my indulgent dollop of your own particular charism!

So pleased that you love the caddis worms as much as I do, and thanks for the mention~
I’ll be in NY soon, will try to see them in the – flesh? cocoon?!

  • Great collection. Love the handbags.

    Have a wonderful weekend.

  • Sitting here working in my studio can get pretty tiring sometimes. It’s so nice to check in with one of my fav blogs and step away for a few minutes. With the first image, I felt as if I was going away for the night to some elegant hotel. And I love the way you connected the dots and made a story of the images. Now, if a massage were included, I would feel as if I’d stepped away! Thanks for adding more glamour to my weekend :)

  • Juliette or Rapunzel? Is someone calling from below? The balcony photograph simply takes my breath away. Overcast sky, muted greens and slate; all of it – spectacular.
Enjoyed the links today too… particularly the glorious tree house in Germany, and of course the link to the gardens featured at Desire to Inspire (otherwise would have missed).
Hope you are having a magical weekend – catching the stars as they slide across the August sky…
    xo Michaela

  • That pale blush colored bag is DIVINE!

  • What a beautiful post this is. These images are so beautifully put together — I love the setting, and of course, the handbags!

There is so much fun to be had when traveling, but at the same token, there is wonderful comfort in coming home and enjoying of the little things that make it “home”. I hope you have a fantastic weekend, my friend. Though we didn’t have a chance to meet in NYC, I would love to meet you one day :)

    Enjoy the next few days,
    xoxo

p.s I did it! I have ordered Lula magazine — I cannot wait to receive the first copy…
