{runway inspiration: preen, new york}

. . . could hardly tear myself away from the preen resort 2011 collection -- it is just so, so good - perhaps it's that designers justin thornton and thea bregazzi took inspiration from brigitte bardot, or they easily and perfectly combined prim and sexy, with buttoned-up dresses and sheer, shimmery tops, pretty pleats and bits of lace -- or perhaps it is the slight nod to the wild wild west that is just too impossibly cool . . .

Very edgy, can pick up some BB in the collection. The menswear pieces a bit Katharine Hepburn. Love it!

Great weekend to you ~

I was just dropping in to wish you and yours the happiest Independence Day. May your day be full! May you enjoy laughter shared with family, great food shared with friends, fireworks to make you gasp, a lump in your throat at the anthem, and a full and grateful heart at all we have been given. Happy Fourth of July, my friend!b

This collection is just so, so stunning! I can see myself wearing every single piece. It's feminine, more than those tight mini dresses...I think.

These are such fantastic outfits -- my favorite being the last -- I really, really want those pants. The color, the cut, everything is perfect, and as you said, cool!

I hope you're having a great Sunday, Roséline,
