{storage inspiration: shoes}

shoe storage. . . a certain fondness for shoes means always searching for creative places to keep an ever-growing collection and this rustically elegant and perfectly organized linen and shelf arrangement would make every morning feel like a visit to the shops . . .

{p.s.} a perfect afternoon

I love that the safari-feel decor is pulled back to reveal a mecca of gorgeous, colorful shoes!

Wouldn't that space be delightful to have.... *sigh*

kirsten james ferguson -- it's wonderful isn't it? but not mine, which is nearly the opposite -- white and bright and mirrors . . .

design fixation -- so perfectly put -- at first was not certain about the darkness of the decor, but "safari" sounds delightful and was quite taken with the row upon row of shoes :)

i love that. being able to display your clothes and shoes, makes getting dressed feel like shopping. I wish i had that space for my wardrobe and shoes. Getting dressed in the morning would be so much fun!

I love this way to organize and store shoes too. When you can see them all, you can get inspired to put together combinations that you otherwise might not. Still, you don't want them all sitting out and making the place feel cluttered. This is the perfect solution. Thanks for sharing!

Okay love the look, but wait, why keep all the boxes if you are going to display the shoes? Captain John just built a huge dressing room for me, and I am in a dilemma over shoes, in the original boxes with pictures, in the clear boxes, are left out on display. What's your opinion? Do tell.
