{swedish inspiration: seaside}

. . . a million projects, appointments and e-mails and the week has been flying by at an astonishing rate -- very much looking forward to slowing things down over the weekend and even more so, for summer weekends filled with seaside dreams . . .

I sooo wish to sit by a beach right now, love the pictures tho:-) I'm excited b/c I just bought a lil soft pink eyelet dress that I can't wear until summer, but it would fit right in with the beach thing:-)

...can't think of nothing better than enjoy the warming sunlight in the evening.

That dusty shade of pink looks so pretty in the golden sunlight. This makes me long for warm evenings and salty breezes.

although freezing winds are tossing, more like chucking, snow left and right and up in to whirlwinds outside my window, this post has me suddenly reminiscing the sweet salty smell of the ocean air. something I think everyone needs to be reminded of every now and then. xx

I absolutely adore that blazer, but can't seem to locate it on their website (besides in the photos under Campaign). Any ideas on where I might be able to find it? Thanks!

Yeah! Hunkidory make lovely and funky cloths (I am a happy owner myself!). And yes, sandals would be nice... It gets a little old to trott aroound in black rain boots day in and out...

Hope you get some time to relax this weekend. Don't let your head spin too much!

I wrote a poem about you, if you don't mind! I'm sure your post is inspiring many people, but this is how it came to fruition in me.

Seaside

She just wants to live by the seaside,
live in the warm embrace of sand.
She's been dreaming about the seaside,
trying to escape the city so bland.

She's been sitting by the window
drawing beaches on the pane.
She's been peering out the window,
trying to see a beach house through the rain.

Clouds billowing over the water,
waves crashing on the rock.
Pebbles slip through her reaching fingers,
running to dive off a dock.

Thinking about salty air and seagull cries,
reading her favourite book, draped on a chair.
Wondering why she'd ever want to leave this place,
anywhere else than this is nowhere.

She's dreaming about the seaside,
while she's bundled up from the cold,
she'll sing dreamily about the seaside
only five more months to go...

I'm absolutely obsessed. You really shouldn't have posted this because I'm trying to order everything and I can't find a way to get it to the U.S., so I'm trying to ship to friends in Denmark to ship to me. Ugh! What a pain you've created by showing me the only clothes I want to wear all summer!
Seriously, thanks for sharing this. It's fabulous.
