. . . after falling for the wispy fabrics and pleated chiffon in erin fetherston's recent autumn/winter collection, was reminded of the enormously beautiful bouquet of pink peonies on the sun-drenched juliet balcony of her paris apartment, and how bright blossoms never fail to make everything feel like spring . . .

It's hard for a garden designer to choose a favorite flower, but if I were forced to have only one, it would be a big-bomb peony in white, red or pink. Intoxicating.
