. . . wonderfully inspired by what can become of a few pieces of driftwood, bits of string & a little imagination: australian stylist tim neve created this beautiful driftwood table lamp from a standard wood lamp base {below}, sanding down the lacquer to an unvarnished surface, affixed pieces of driftwood and tied everything with string . . .

How lovely! This comes in perfect as I was thinking of ways to jazz up my lamps recently <3
So lovely. It'd be perfect in a beachside cottage, or even just my bedroom. I love how out of the box this thinking is, and how ultimately simple it is to do.
come hell or high water, I'm going to make this driftwood lamp!!
Driftwood. So sensual and evocative in the bedroom. Perfect mood. Relaxed and sexy as rumpled hair.
This is brilliant and I have the perfect lamp to do it with!
What a wonderful drift wood craft! Nice work!

Love this ~~ so nature inspired!
Love it. Now I'm going to have to find some driftwood. Mind you, I could see this with birch twigs as well.
Loving that lamp in the top photo - something so refreshing about driftwood.
