{happy october + pale autumn blue}

. . . the soft colours of the recent runway shows -- feathery pink, whispy violet, muted coral and ecru -- and this week's calming greens and champagne hues bring dreams of smokey, palest autumn blue, the kind the appears in hazy, early-autumn light . . .

happy october! hope your week has been wonderful so far,
xo

Lovely photos! I did a post of pale blue this week too... must be all that light, spring fashion! I wish we could skip winter...

This is beautiful. There are so many subtle hues in early October, and again later in the month and into November and December. The smokey blues and violets are particularly delightful. I just interviewed raku artist Richard Foye on Monday, and watching him work with fire and smoke to create beautiful works of art was a wonder. How lucky we are to live in such an incredible world.

Such gorgeous variations of blue. I really love the silvery periwinkle-blue that we're seeing now. It's a very sophisticated color.

Loved this post because I am actually planning my master bedroom in new house and its going to be the palest blue, more of a gray blue which is so beautiful and soothing as a master bedroom should be. LOVE that gown above..any chance you know whose it is? Looking for a special gown for my nephews wedding in the summer and that really caught my eye!
