If you're still a little uncertain about shades of charcoal sweeping across the walls . . . a comparison: two similar rooms, one crisp + nautical, and the other, dramatic + modern . . .
I think that second photograph captures black and white ease beautifully. I have a similar bedroom... and love the look of a gender-neutral yet seductive boudoir. This gets it exactly. I want more flowers though... something orchid, lily, or perhaps a cactus rose. Thank you for the inspiration... -Michaela
I do love that deep charcoal wall...It almost makes me wish it were chalkboard paint - I want to scribble little notes on it! :) It's funny (I love white), but that second one works for me - it seems, ironically, less stark than the one on the first photo... not sure why.... But I'm babbling... should go babble on my own blog! Have a great day! -maria
Oh, you're speaking my language. Since black and white is pretty much all I wear, it was just a matter of time before it started showing up in my house. I'll take both of these rooms!
Thank you for stopping in to say hello -- it's lovely to hear from you!

I love the dramatic and modern!
Classic, clean, chic. Wonderful!
They are both great.
It is a close call, but the second one is the best.

Love that first room. The pops of pink are lovely!
Both are beautiful but would probably choose No. 1. Leigh
