{as in a fairytale}

Ever since coming across the graceful gilt swan faucet in a Sofia Coppola for Louis Vuitton ad campaign {above}, have been rather fascinated with these brilliantly ornate fixtures that have an almost magical quality, as if taken from the pages of a fairytale . . .

OH, i love it!

I wonder how impossibly difficult it would be to clean though. But so fantastic and marvelous.

I adored the first photograph from your older post.

But, I love the ornate details of the third pairing.

I wonder how pricy some of these can become?

This Coppola collection makes me mad: I want it! But exclusivity has a price, and I'd rather get a timeless Speedy for a fourth of the price. The midnight blue paired with gold is sublime though. Perfect idea of luxury with the Ritz swan. x

Small details like fixtures are really what separate beautiful elegant designs from the rest.

If you are serious about owning a 24k gold swan faucet then you should check out phylrich.com. They pretty much invented this highly decorative style faucet. It is beautiful and you do have to treat it like jewelry, but it really could not be a more spectacular piece. This will run you around $1400.
I just happened to spend my previous life working in decorative plumbing!

Yes I wouldn't mind having them in my bathroom! They are over the top, but in a fabulous way.

Sam – thanks for your question -- elle’s comment below gives a good idea of price range . . .

Cassiopeia – the second one is from the Ritz-Carlton in Paris, as is most like the first, as it is Sofia Coppola after all; the last one is from “the oldest decorative hardware firm in the United States, and the only metal foundry in New York City”.

Elle – thanks so much for the information and great link!

Happy Monday everyone! Hope your week is off to a fantastic start.

It's so beautifule, that I wouldn't use it.

It's actually the Ritz in Paris, not the Ritz Carlton.
The bathrooms are beautiful - swan fixtures, marble, high gloss white trim and light pink towels - very glam indeed!!!

ok...we actually have a large gold swan faucet on our bathtub...like the last one. it's original to our 1978 house and one of the things we refused to touch in the renovation despite much urging from our friends.

It is so 70's fab we can't even stand it...and my girls are over the moon about the water coming out of the swan's mouth.

Love the faucets, but the bag is definitely higher on my list. I've been thinking about it since you first posted about it!
