{happy december + fireside love}

Things are beginning to feel festive around here, and few things bring memories of past Christmases flooding back more than artful stacks of freshly chopped wood, row upon row of softly glowing candles, and the intoxicating warmth of sitting by the fire . . .

{happy December!}

lovely photos! I can't believe it's already December...and it always seems like the weeks in between Thanksgiving and Christmas just fly by.
I can't wait to be back home and snuggle up to a warm fire :)

Thank you for the picture this morning! I'm pretending I'm drinking my coffee right next to this fire.

Wish I was nestled up by a fireplace {instead of being behind a desk at work}!

One of the odd things about living on the opposite side of the world, when the sun starts getting hotter and stronger, thats when we start to feel christmassy.

These pictures have brightened my day! When I woke up this morning I basically had to dig my house out of a snowbank. I had almost forgotten the upside of December.

Cybill -- how absolutely lovely to be in the throes of Spring!

Happy to hear it, Janet, although to be honest, needed reminding myself, being an eternal summer girl, and only recently and finally coming to terms with the fact that winter can not be stopped . . .

i wish almost daily that the long-ago bricked-over fireplace in my apartment was functioning. i would never, ever leave if so.

happy december to you as well.

My husband won't let us light the fire too often...it is gas, and he says it costs a fortune to run it...so I will just content myself with beautiful pictures of fireplaces!
