{pretty lovely}

Recently came across more images {above + below} of fashion designer Jacqueline Appel's lovely, lovely home . . .

The custom Pucci scarf pillow shams, Murano chandelier, lacquered ceiling, and polished floor make her living room one of the rooms I always come back to . . .

{images 1 + 2: H+H January 2006; 3: from an earlier post & Flare September 2007}

Also check out Felicity's lovely Ballet post at All Things Bright and Beautiful for more images of Jacqueline's home.

I do so love the lacquered ceiling...I was just telling my husband today that I think it would be fun to do in our bathroom!

Dear Glamorous - this would have to be one of my all time favorite posts of yours - it is Beautiful!

That window seat hiding behind the curtains is marvellous - initally I thought - hmm sofa with no back and cushions isnt comfortable but then I realised that it was a window seat and thought - "excellent idea".

We have window seats in our place - I'll have to find out the fabric in those cushions.

Those you have to watch that the light doesn't fade them when they're in the window all the time

I must agree with ATBAB on the window seat. My, it looks so inviting. Makes me want to put on some comfy but oh so glamorous pajamas and climb in with a good fashion or home decor magazine:)

I love that little mannequin peeking around the corner. I have a thing for mannequins:)

Alya was never fond of shag rugs until recently . . . and think this one sets off the dark, high-gloss floors beautifully, and adds a luxurious mood to the room.

::{j}:: sounds wonderful would love to see photos if you do decide on the lacquer.

Felicity the window seat is definitely a great addition to the more formal seating already in the room. Think the depth of the seat and pile of cushions really invites lounging. Good point (and quite practical) about the sunlight on those Pucci scarves, although these windows appear diffused with shades . . .

This interior is gorgeous! I love the mirrored wall, it gives the room such a glamurous feel. I hope to do that in my new appartment.

Love, Betsy

All that plus the Birkin = perfection!

Good question, Felicity. Although my tastes are ever-changing and evolving, I always gravitate toward interiors with a good blend of romance and style, such as
this one, and recently, it’s been Mollies in Auckland, but Jacqueline’s is definitely one of my all-time favourites.

As a boudoir photographer I am so inspired by this room above! I want my whole studio to look just like this. Pink and animal print, don't you just want to eat it-it's so perfect!

I know the owner of this apartment. Sadly, she left this home and moved across the ocean. Happily, it was for the love of a wonderful guy. Wonder what her 'cross-the-pond home now looks like? Fabulous, without a doubt.

Anon -- so sad to hear she's left this beautiful home! But love sounds like the best reason there is, and I would agree that her home across the ocean would be equally lovely! Wouldn't it be wonderful to have a sneak peek?
