Love this!! **Shhhh!** You are invited to a SURPRISE BLOGGY BIRTHDAY PARTY for kari this Wednesday, Feb 20. She is turning 40!!!
I would love for you to stop by the party on Wednesday to surprise (hopefully!) the birthday girl, enjoy a bite of cake, sprinkle a little of your magic birthday dust, and check out the party favor giveaway!
I'd like to see it as a stair runner... can't quiet get the hang of the statement wall... it seems like a tattoo to me, difficult to pull off. Ah well, that's me, a bit of an old fuddy-duddy. Thanks for making me think.
Oh, a stair runner--Elegant, what an inspired idea. And perhaps my images do not do the actual statement wall justice--had they been a little less grainy, you may be swayed by the idea . . . Either way, I love the creative thinking involved.
I have done this before, actually, and it turned out beautifully. It was in 1992 so it was quite some time ago, but I actually cut out parts of a wallpaper border and used it to replicate the look of something handpainted. It took forever, that is probably why I haven't done it again. But, with the right paper and right room, it can look fabulous!
Thank you for stopping in to say hello -- it's lovely to hear from you!

I was just reading this article over the weekend...so pretty.
The wallpaper is stunning! What a lovely idea to use it as a panel, rather than covering the whole wall.
wow I really love this!
Carolina--I keep re-reading this issue and finding new and wonderful ideas each time.
Brilliant idea... i may have to appropriate it. I have a place in two rooms where the fireplaces used to be...
i love this! it's somewhere in between those annoying decals and a whole room of wallpaper - a great option, and a lovely accent. thanks for sharing!
Love this!!

Melissa, I'm impressed! And in 1992, no less. Sounds like it turned out beautifully--you wouldn't happen to have any photos, would you?
