Jewellery designer Loulou de la Falaise's paris home began, 30 years ago, as an empty white space. Today, it's, in her own words, "like a gypsy as it has a lot of colour and generosity. I want it to make people feel happy and surprised but at the same time it needs to be beautiful." And it is.

I can't believe you find the MOST beautiful homes!!! I constantly wrestle with making my home 'pretty' but am not too successful as I have too much stuff and not enough that goes together!! Loulou de la Falaise's home and Jacqueline Appel's home are amazing discoveries. Both are wonderfully inspriational, as is your blog of glamourous beauty. Christine
Thanks Christine! Glad you're finding things on this blog that are inspirational--hopefully they will help you with your own home projects. It's perfectly fine if your things don't go together, as long as they are things that you love.
They're all great images, but I particularly love the one with that huge window and the white drapes - how beautiful!
I really like that one as well, Suzy--it really shows how grand the room is--the height of the drapes, the size of the chandelier.
Loulou is so chic ..so is her home
I love these rooms! It is nice to see things I haven't seen before. I do not get this publication. Wonderful!
Thanks, Katie--glad you've had the chance to see these beautiful rooms--they're really quite inspirational.
Her uncle was Mark Birley who owned Annabel's nightclub in London. He just died. I wrote about it on my blog. There are all sorts of interesting connections there.
Just read your wonderful post on Mark Birley, fairfax--thanks for pointing out the connection.
